TERMS OF BUSINESS
STATUS
Bexley
Insurance Centre is an independent intermediary who acts as your agent and accepts responsibility for the advice provided
when arranging your insurance. We act for a number of Insurers and are members
of the General Insurance Standards Council (GISC). We undertake to comply with
their Codes of Practice, a copy of which is available on request.
SERVICES AND PREMIUMS
We offer a wide range of insurance products
and our service includes advising you on your insurance needs, assisting with any changes to your policy cover and any claims
that you make. For Motor Uninsured Loss Recovery Insurance we deal exclusively
with Motorist Services Limited who we have selected as offering good value and service.
The policyholder is responsible for all premiums due once having given instructions (either written or verbal) to take
out insurance through us.
Where a loan is arranged through an independent
finance company you are liable for the whole of the loan even if your policy is cancelled.
You should not stop your monthly payments without first speaking to us. Default
on your loan could result in your policy being cancelled and leave you still liable for the outstanding loan. All refunds will be by cheque to the policyholder.
COSTS
Your business will be placed with
Insurers and/or Underwriters licensed to transact insurance in the United Kingdom. Your business
will either be placed directly with the Insurer or via an Underwriting Agency (Wholesale Broker or Intermediary), who may
pay us a nominal commission or, as is more often the case, no commission at all. We
may make an administration charge for our services and typically these will be as follows:
To effect a new policy or broker a renewal…
12½% of the premium or up to £500
Mid-term adjustments or duplicate
documentation …
£12 - £25
To arrange a direct debit
facility (in addition to interest)

Our own instalment facility
(each instalment)…
£10 - £100
Mid-term Cancellation …
£12
Returned or Refer to Drawer
Cheques ….
£25
Once we have received instructions
to arrange cover our commission is not refundable.

any material information to Insurers could invalidate your insurance cover or that all or part of a claim may not be paid. If you are in any doubt as to whether any matter should be disclosed please contact
us for advice.
DOCUMENTS
We may retain documents such as your
Insurance Certificate whilst we are awaiting full payment of premiums, administration charges or supporting documentation
